This is a new high profile role based in the North West with an extremely stable and backed publisher already in place. this is a great opportunity to continue working on AAA Games for PS3 and potential future next generation platforms. This studio specialises in award winning IP and is looking to further strengthen their existing engineering teams in the UK.

To apply you will have exposure to:

• Designing, developing, documenting, testing and maintaining highly accessible physical features in collaboration with technical artists, programmers and designers.
• Proactively and methodically improving quality and efficiency of relevant tools, processes and runtime functionality.
• Troubleshooting physics related issues.
• Investigating and applying relevant emerging technologies.

Candidates must exhibit:

• Passion and aptitude for both practical and innovative applied physics development.
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
• Applied knowledge of a diverse array of physics and math intensive areas such as vehicle dynamics, rigid body physics, soft body physics, constrains, destruction, character ragdolls, character inverse kinematics, fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, cloth simulation, etc.
• Proficiency in maths/3D geometry.
• Experience of designing algorithms to exploit multi-processor systems.
• Broad and objective profiling, analysis and optimisation skills.
• Robust software engineering principles including.
• A methodical approach to debugging.
• Excellent communication skills.

Candidates will also benefit from practical experience of:

• Large scale production pipelines.
• Assembly language programming.
• Maya and/or similar content creations tools.
• Test driven development.
• Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Perforce revision control.
