Amiqus ready to take on Gamescom 2016

The countdown is officially on for Gamescom 2016, one of the largest video games trade fairs the world over.

Due to kick off next week in Cologne on 17 August, Gamescom is one of the most significant calendar events for exhibitors, trade visitors and games fans each year. Last year we were joined by 806 companies from 45 countries, with 345,000 visitors pouring through the doors. It acts as the European meet-up for the industry and we’re delighted to be part of the event again this year.

What is Amiqus doing at the event?

You can find us on the UK industry stand alongside more than 60 other games organisations in Business Hall 3.2.
For us, the event is a fantastic opportunity to meet Game developers, publishers and service providers supporting the games industry. Big or small if a business is looking to grow their team now or in the future we’d love to help and Gamescom is a great place to meet up and talk. We love to find out more about businesses and their plans, with a particular focus on the skills and experience they may need to help make the most amazing games. We also provide the coffee on the UK stand – you’re welcome :)

What is Gamescom like?

The 2016 Gamescom theme is ‘Heroes in New Dimensions’, focusing on current trends in the games industry including virtual reality, e-sports and the player as the designer. Amiqus are no strangers to Superheroes ourselves – check out our new website landing page. Won’t this be on our website anyway? Gamescom is a major opportunity for organisations to showcase new products and developments to the wider industry and players. We’re super-excited for GDC Europe too which takes place in the 2 days before Gamescom where speakers give early insights into industry developments and fascinating analysis in to the impact of current and future tech, creative, business and player-market trends.

Gamescom is something we build up to every year and we can’t wait to see you in Cologne next week. Get in touch or email to book a meeting slot, we’d love to see you.

In the meantime why not join our LinkedIn networking group GDC Europe and Gamescom 2016, we wanted everyone to have the chance to network pre and post event and talk about the best the shows have to offer.
