Amiqus Wins Best Recruiter at the TIGA Awards

30/11/20

2020 will certainly be remembered as an extraordinary year for everyone. For the team here at Amiqus, we started out in January looking ahead to our 20th anniversary as a business and anticipating the celebrations we had planned.

Of course, having worked apart since March, 2020 turned into a year of change, reflection and appreciation rather than celebration, and we have put those birthday plans on hold for a while until we’re all back together again.

Last week we were honoured to have won the Best Recruitment Agency award at the prestigious TIGA awards. Incredibly, this is the third award we’ve achieved in 2020 – and we couldn’t be happier. We have received 17 awards for Recruitment Excellence in the Games Industry so far and we’re as excited about this one as we were with the first back in 2009.

It really is overwhelming. We’re very, very grateful to everyone who voted for us in any of these awards – and we’re honoured to be working with such amazing clients and candidates.

I’d like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank the work, loyalty and resilience of the whole team at Amiqus. It’s a very special place to work and despite being unable to see each other in person, the past few months have absolutely underlined that we’re not just colleagues, we’re family. Everyone has pulled together to keep the business moving forward, and to continue helping our brilliant clients to grow their teams.

Finally, of course, many thanks to Richard Wilson and the entire TIGA team for hosting the awards online this year– which we were also delighted to sponsor.

With a vaccine now in sight, I hope that as we move away from these times of difficult restrictions, we can all reflect on what we’ve learned and what we’ve achieved – and I look forward to seeing everyone face-to-face again. In particular, we’re looking forward to celebrating our 21st birthday together at Amiqus!

In the meantime, I hope that everyone stays safe and well as we head into the festive season. Dare I say ‘Merry Christmas!’?! And here’s to a better 2021 for all.
