A Dundee based Games studio are currently undergoing an expansion, due to successful project demand and require a 2D Character Artist to help work on a new mobile title!
The studio have a long standing history in creating some of the most unique games on the iOS and Android market, and their previous games have collectively received over 100 million downloads with a consistent daily average user base.
As the 2D Character Artist you will assist on creating new fresh characters for a brand new mobile title, ensuring the quality bar stays high and consistent with the studios character range they’re looking to build. You will be tasked with producing (from concept to completion), the personality to each character and ensure they tell their story to the player, through unique design and personality traits.
The ideal candidate will be able to wear multiple hats and will be working on games which have topped the charts worldwide and for a studio who have a great track record of delivering games, which have accumulated millions of players.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry as a 2D Artist
- Released at least 1 mobile game
- Strong conceptual design and composition skills
- Experience with Photoshop + Illustrator
- A portfolio demonstrating strong character work with different ranges
- Experience with Unity
This role is 100% remote working initially (you must be UK based), and can be remote working indefinitely or with some split weeks onsite (when it’s safe to work in-house again).
