A Liverpool based Games studio are currently looking for an Art Director to work on a range of new titles on Console and PC platforms.

The Studio Founders are renowned in the Industry for creating fun, easy to play / hard to master console classics. The studio is now working on a range of IP’s in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the industry.

As the Art Director, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Studio Founders to define the vision on a range of titles. You will be responsible for managing the Art Direction and implementing processes, which includes managing art teams, recruiting new artists and driving the overall art strategy. You will also have a hand in key decisions on the art quality, mood, storytelling and cinematography. More importantly giving you the creative control to use your own ideas and having a say on the final in-game atmosphere.

The role is open to Senior/Lead Artists looking to move to an Art Director role or current Art Directors looking to work on something new and exciting.

In return the studio can offer a competitive salary, pension, relocation assistance and other amazing studio benefits such as flexitime and free branded merchandise. Also, the chance to work with games industry veterans who have a great track record of delivering high profile successful projects.

This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely) or partially remote to begin with, with a view to work onsite when it’s safe with some split weeks. You must be based in the UK already to be eligible for the remote working option.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior/Lead Artist or an Art Director in the games industry
  • Unreal 4 experience is a must
