Are you a hands-on Art Director with a strong UI/UX/2D Skillset? Do you want to work in a small, agile team on an already successful title?

We're recruiting for an Art Director for a new mobile games company. This studio already has a great game out which has seen unprecedented success, its a location based AR game, similar to Pokemon go, but a bit more 'core' art style and gameplay. It's gone viral amongst teenagers and young adults, as there are 'real world' prizes to be won. The game now needs true Art Direction, there is an art style already, but this needs refining and scaling beyond the current game into updates and expansions. They need someone with really strong mobile games experience, someone who understands that the art, UI and controls are all intertwined and dependent.

You'll be working within a small team, so hands on art skills are required. You need to be comfortable with setting, assessing and feeding back on other peoples art. Working with outsourcers would also be valuable experience. They want someone who can take the core of the existing vision and run with it, make it their own and scale it up. The art team is small, but as the game becomes more and more successful, you will be tasked with growing a team.

To be considered, we'd love to see:

  • Strong art director, or art lead experience on a recently shipped mobile game
  • Good understanding of UI, mobile controls and overall art style
  • Ability to communicate art styles and ideas to non-artistic people
  • Current, varied and polished art portfolio

This is a great role, it's brand new and working on something innovative and exciting. They're based in the heart of London and offering superb benefits and salary to the right person. One not to be missed.
