We're working with a growing, successful and inclusive mobile games developer based in London.

They have been developing rich narrative based titles, aimed at a more casual audience, for over three years and have enjoyed huge success. As a result they're now looking to hire an Art Director, someone who can take charge of their team of four artists and help develop and mentor them. This role would also see you asses their current pipeline and procedures, to give direction on best practice. The studio are growing, so your team will grow and ultimately this role will develop into a bigger position over time. You'd be reporting to the co-founders; so it's a senior and important role. The studio is committed to making narrative based titles with a more casual audience appeal, they typically have a 2D art style, so you must be comfortable with this.

To be considered, we'd love to see:

  • Recent experience, in games, as either a Lead Artist or Art Director on several shipped mobile games
  • Up to date, varied and interesting portfolio
  • Friendly and collaborative communication style
  • Genuine ability to give constructive art direction
  • That you take inspiration from not just games, but film, tv, comics, books etc
  • Passion for games

This studio is leading the way in diversity and inclusivity; they have nearly 50% female team members, 24% LGBTQ+ and 18% BAME, you can expect to work in a respectful, hard working and genuinely inclusive environment. The salary on offer is between £45,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience plus a host of benefits. They are based in London, an easy walk from Old Street station.
