General Overview of the position:

 To assist the Art Director with implementation of the visual style and direction of the game through the use of visual, written and verbal communication with the art team, ensuring the product is delivered to a high quality, on budget and schedule. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

Support the Art Director in the implementation of the agreed art style.
Provide leadership and motivation to the art team.
Ensure good communication & coordination between the art department and other parts of the team (programming, level design, design, production)
Recommend training requirements for the art team.
Assist with recruitment and selection of staff for art team.
Procedures and Standards
Assist in establishing and communicating the quality bar.
Communicate the art vision and style across the project.
Ensure good visual, verbal and written communication of style.
Review game builds.
Assist in maintaining art quality across the project.
Assist in providing cinematic direction.
Help structure the games visual narrative.
Ensure the games mood/ambience follows the Art Direction.
Assist in direction of lighting.
Assist in the production of concept art, storyboarding and pre-visualisation materials.
Conduct regular asset reviews to ensure production quality.
Assist in the production of promotional materials, screenshots, video capture and key art.
