A Newcastle based apps & games developer are currently looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to help implement and maintain new automated test plans for multiple projects.
The app is hugely popular on a global scale with total users well into the millions and your role here will involve planning, designing & developing projects and processes that can extend the reach of automation with the goal of reducing dependency on manual testing.
Founded in early 2000’s, this team have grown and are now one of the leading platforms for global communities. They have a fantastic reputation within their industry and the team in place here come from a varied set of backgrounds including video games, apps and software development so there’s a lot of experience to learn from here.
You will be viewed as an integral resource within our highly responsive QA test team and help shape the automation test processes. Your first task will be to define the best strategy for automation before writing automated plans and scripts; you’ll ensure QA becomes part of the development process and help move automated testing to the forefront of the software development lifecycle.
To be considered you’ll need:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience writing automated tests.
• Great understanding of technical products
• Working knowledge of testing mobile and web-based systems.
• Experience working with a GUI based test tool
• Demonstrable experience in building Automated test suites from scratch or from existing manual process documentation.
• Experience working on multiple operating systems: OS X, Linux, Windows.
• Experience using Continuous Integration Tools such as Jenkins / GIT.
• A good understanding of Manual Testing, Unit testing, Load / Soak / Performance Testing, Usability Testing.
Optional skills and experience:
• Experience of Sensetalk scripting language
• Working knowledge of EggPlant Functional.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform
• Solid knowledge and experience in Selenium Webdriver.
• Experience in a manual QA role.
