C++ Games Programmer

A Dundee based Games studio are currently undergoing an expansion, due to successful project demand and require a C++ Games Programmer to develop new and existing titles in the pipeline.

The studio have a long standing history in creating some of the most unique games on the iOS and Android market, and their last few titles have been downloaded in the high millions with a consistent daily average user base.

They are looking for this individual to have high energy and passion for mobile games and constantly come up with new and innovative ideas to keep the users engaged. Your core function will be to implement features to go into the games such as easy to use mechanics, tweaking level difficultly, mentoring juniors and come up with special events in order to keep the daily user base consistent.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative in an open-plan environment, where ideas are commonly contributed and everyone has an input on the project. The opportunity plays a key role in developing a new project and will give you a key voice to implement ideas.

Requirements 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the games industry 
  • Good knowledge with C++
  • Developed at least one mobile game 
  • Strong understanding of Object Orientated Programming 
  • Passion for mobile development 

A bonus if you have any of the following 

Knowledge of Cocos 2D-x
