C++ Programmer

A Guildford based Independent Video Games developer are currently looking to expand their innovative team and are looking for a Programmer to work on their console MMO title. 

The studio have come from a heavy AAA console foundation, from some of the world’s biggest studios and bring a collective knowledge which you will tune into. Over the years the studio have also built an open office environment, where ideas are commonly shared and implemented. 

Their game has been shown off at many major conventions and has earned resounding praise and acclaim for its unique gameplay and high customisation elements. 

The ideal candidate will either come from a generalist or an engine programmer background, but more importantly you must have experience of developing titles on console platforms and understand the architecture around this. As the game is open world, there will be plenty for you to get involved with, from player progression, game systems and tools to name a few. 

This would suit a good generalist programmer who likes creating and owning new features.  

Requirements 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the games industry
  • Strong C++ skills
  • Experience with developing console (XboxOne, PS4) Titles
  • At least one console title released
  • Strong team player, autonomous and likes working in smaller teams
