C++ Programmer

Amiqus have partnered with an amazing interactive live-action video-game studio, who are looking for a talented C++ programmer to help them develop their bespoke in-house technology suite.

You will work in a close-knit team developing their multi-platform technology targeting desktop, mobile and console platforms and have an interest in covering one or more of the following areas:

  • Real time low latency video playback engine.
  • Real time graphics engine.
  • Multi-platform porting and platform maintenance.
  • Content / Video transcoding pipelines.
  • Editor and graphical tools.
  • Dev Ops, CI/CD, Automation tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to contribute new features to their codebase.
  • Assist designers, artists and editors to take feedback and improve tools, pipelines and working practices.
  • Help to improve, maintain or refactor existing systems.
  • Maintain consistency across the code base, adhering to their coding standards.

Requirements:

  • Excellent C++ knowledge.
  • Examples of code or interesting demos. (GitHub, ShaderToy, etc).

One or more of the following:

  • 1 shipped console game.
  • Knowledge of python, lua, json, glsl/hlsl.
  • Knowledge of OpenGL, Metal, Direct3D or Vulkan.
  • Knowledge of C++ and shader profiling and optimisation.
  • Interest in tools, ui, ux development
  • Interest in low level graphics, low level platform development.
  • Experience with multi-threaded code, especially lockless systems.
  • Experience with multi-platform development (iOS, MacOS, Windows, Linux, Android, PS4, Switch, Xbox)

This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing studio who offer an inclusive culture with great salaries and benefits. Although the role is based in London, they anticipate this person starting remotely, they'd eventually like to revert to being in the studio, with a hybrid remote/onsite system.
