Amiqus have partnered with an exciting Award Winning Games Studio based in Guildford, who are known for setting a high quality bar on console titles.
They are currently going through a period of expansion and require a Character Artist to deliver on a variety of projects from AAA narrative console genres to high-end VR titles.
As the Senior Character Artist you will work closely with the Art Director and completely own your Character Modelling and implementation tasks for a new title. Your first mission will be to model and texture a range of characters that the player will interact with, such as NPC’s and main/playable characters for a narrative driven title. You will use your experience to inject realism into these characters to make them believable for the player.
The studio are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about games development and wants to be part of working on high-end AAA quality projects.
This role can offer you a chance to own quite a large area of the project and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team and enjoys a flat structure, where they can get involved in concept phases and really make a difference on the final output.
Requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience as a Character Artist in the Industry
- Worked on at least 1 console title
- Experience with Maya or 3DS Max and Photoshop
- Experience with Unreal 4 would be a bonus
- A portfolio demonstrating a range of photorealistic character art
