Opportunity to for a Character  / Creature Animator with keyframe and Mo-Cap experience, Maya,  to work with this acclaimed Cambridge based game development studio.

Experience required

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing high quality character / creature animation,

The Role

  • You will be responsible primarily for keyframe animation (movement & combat) with some motion capture editing and clean-up, providing high-quality content for one of the games currently in production.


Essential Technical Skills

  • Maya

  • Knowledge of the core principles of motion capture and key-frame technology

  • Experience of character and motion capture pipelines



  • Extensive experience in keyframe animation and editing mocap data.

  • Experience working with Maya

  • The ability to follow an artistic vision

  • A solid understanding of traditional animation principles (timing, weight, etc.)

  • Industry experience on AAA titles is a plus

  • A drive to constantly push animation quality

  • Attention to detail

  • The capacity to take on board constructive criticism

  • Good collaboration with members of the animation team and other team members on the project.

  • A highly-positive proactive work ethic

  • Excellent communication skills


This is an initial 2 month contract based onsite in Cambridge
