Chief Financial Officer – Unannounced video game company - London


Amiqus have partnered with an unannounced company based in London who are currently looking to build their core leadership team and require a Chief Financial Officer. 


The company was founded by veterans who currently operate a leading fund in the games industry, and had previous experience working at major platforms and publishers. Headquartered in London, UK, with additional foothold in North America, Europe, and Asia, the company will be focused on investment and publishing of games across PC and Console. It is well funded and recently closed a significant investment round to scale up its global operations. The base compensation for this role is competitive, with an attractive bonus scheme and stock option plan. 


The Chief Financial Officer will lead the company from a financial perspective, and plays a significant role in building the business, both at the strategic level and the execution level. This is a dynamic role and the company is looking for an ambitious individual to join this journey.


Roles and responsibilities
Participate as a key member in the Management Team; Work with other senior members to develop the strategic plan
Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing
Evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure; manage cash flow
Report periodic financial results to the Board of Directors and other major investors
Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with regulations
Develop and monitor performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction
Manage the international tax planning across different entities within the group globally
Lead the day-to-day responsibilities of the finance team
Lead the financial/regulatory aspects of investment transactions and support due diligence
Participate in periodic performance review meetings, assess financial health and recommend mitigations or significant risks
Drive the company’s potential IPO in the future
Build and recruit the finance team members

Requirements
Senior management level finance experience- well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment/banking operations
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow
Experience with international tax planning
Experience in a publicly listed company and dealing with related corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters; experience in the IPO process is an advantage
Experience in video games industry is an advantage but not mandatory. Candidates without video games industry experience must be able to demonstrate their interest in video games
