Are you a commercially minded COO or CFO? Can you come into an existing games studio and take ownership of the operational, commercial and financial sides of the business?

We here at Amiqus are partnered with a successful game developer who are looking for a COO/CFO to review the company and identify areas where they can improve, and ultimately grow the business. Their games have been really successful, and they have grown up to around 20 developers. However, they know to reach the next level they need someone with the right experience to guide them. Working alongside the founder you will (amongst other things):

  • Manage day to day company finances and reporting alongside ongoing financial planning and management of Company P&L.
  • Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
  • Negotiate and manage all contracts with external suppliers, including finance and legal contracts.
  • Develop and maintain goals, budgets and plans for short, medium & long term growth to drive ongoing development of the Studio and the delivery of the highest quality games.

The role will see you immediately take ownership and control of key areas of the business; the decisions you make will have real impact on games and the future of a great business. The ingredients to a very successful studio are already there, they need your guidance and experience to guide them through this next level of growth.

To be considered for the role, we'd love to see:

  • Strong financial experience, from day to day operations to strategy & planning.
  • Proven commercial experience in a varied, multi-disciplined role.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Experience in digital space (Games, App, Web, Fintech, E-commerce).
  • Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Experience in managing talented high performing teams.
  • Negotiation, leadership, management and strong inter-personal skills.

The studio specializes in Football games, so an interest or passion for Football would be useful, they frequently enjoy perks working so closely with the Football industry that a fan would revel in. Although not essential, it would help. The studio will offer a healthy salary and benefits package; based on your experience and specific situation. The studio is full of passionate, friendly and hardworking people who will make your job easy and enjoyable. They enjoy frequent social events, very low staff turnover and a positive atmosphere.
