Are you a Data Analyst who can give the Development team visibility and insight on the behavior of players in all phases? Do you want to work on a mid-core mobile game with cutting edge graphics?

I'm working directly with the leadership team of a brilliant Helsinki based game developer. They're a growing studio with an exciting game due for release, they've announced the title and the graphics are simply jaw-dropping; it's a midcore game with PVP multiplayer and is tipped to be a big success.

The studio is growing, and they are looking to add a Data Analyst to their ranks. This is someone who will find themselves:

  • Specifying data to be collected and identify strategic business questions, key metrics, and insights.
  • Developing state-of-the-art data gathering, mining, statistical modelling and visualisation solutions to understand game design, system performance and key business behaviors, such as player engagement.
  • Effectively translate statistical findings into actionable recommendations for game design and business teams.
  • Model player behaviour in order to predict and optimise game features affecting it.
  • Monitor and report game balance and in-game economy on a daily basis.

You will be working directly with the Producer Manager, Senior Producers and Designers on this game. Your work and insights will have a huge impact on the title. When launched, you will be the key part of a live feedback loop involving the players, their behaviors and then further development and updates with the game.

To be considered for this role, we'd love to see:

  • Recent experience analyzing large data sets, visualizing information, and working closely with stakeholders to inform company strategy
  • That you are capable of translating raw data into reports and presentations that are clear and concise, and delivering them to various teams
  • Game industry experience would be ideal.
  • Experience in programming, intermediate or higher SQL plus Python capabilities highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools, data analytics software and systems (eg. Amplitude, Tableau, R, SPSS) strongly desired.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking, innovative and friendly group of people making simply awesome games. They operate a relaxed and flexible working environment, and are based in a modern and well equipped studio in the heart of Helsinki. In this role you will be challenged and rewarded in equal measure.
