Do you want to work for one of the largest independently owned studios in the UK? Can you analyze player gameplay data to help build insight into player behaviour?
We're working for a well known console developer, helping them build a live games team for a F2P PC shooter they are well known for. They are looking for a Data Scientist to provide statistical analysis based on the available data. You'll hopefully find interesting behaviour trends and be able to produce adhoc reports, as well as more systematic time based updates. You will help build visual dashboards to give snapshots on the data to the development team.
To be considered for this role, we'd love to see:
- Recent experience in a data science/analytical position
- Experience building supervised and unsupervised data models
- Undeniable interest and passion in video games
- Software prototyping and development skills (e.g. Python, Java, version control, unit testing, build and continuous deployment tools)
- BA/BS degree educated with technical focus (e.g. computer science, physics)
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Postgres, Cassandra, Redis) and working knowledge of SQL and data transformations
- Strong Experience with Tableau (including experience in initial deployment)
This is a unique chance to join a large, growing and ambitious video games studio. As a Data Scientist, you can expect what you surmise from data to directly impact a well known game played by millions. As well as this chance, you will also get access to their benefits which include:
- Private medical insurance that will covers you, your partner, and children
- Private dental insurance that significantly reduces cost of dentistry for you, your partner, and children
- Pension scheme where the company matches your contribution
- Complimentary gym membership
- Free eye tests + discounted glasses
- Quarterly revenue share after 1 year of service
- Brand new state of the art office
- Life drawing classes, and massage allowance
- Free fruit juices and soft drinks + Beer and pastries on a Friday.
- Childcare voucher scheme
- Employee assistance programme
- Referral fee
Salary, package and relocation is all negotiable and will be based on personal circumstances and experience.
