Amiqus are working closely with a mobile games and apps developer as they search for an experienced a Data Scientist to bolster their ranks. This studio specialise in innovative games development tech and this role will focused on their brand new projects. 

As a Data Scientist with this studio you’ll be primarily responsible for providing actionable insights and analysis across the full range of products whilst working alongside the development team. This is a brand new role for the studio so you’ll have a lot of responsibility over the processes. 

It will be a really varied role, so it’s perfect for someone who likes to think on their feet in order to solve problems. Core responsibilities will include: 

Combine data analytics skills with strong business acumen to provide insights that will drive continued success
Initiate and carry out analytic experiments aligned with long-term, strategic initiatives.
Identify strategic business questions, key metrics, and actionable insights
Design, develop and deliver machine learning enabled solutions to address critical business or game questions
Develop frameworks, models, tools, and processes to ensure data influences decisions at all levels

I’m looking to speak with experienced Data Scientists with a genuine interest and passion for the games industry. The ideal candidate will have:

BS or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or an applied quantitative field
2+ years of experience in machine learning/statistical languages and systems such as Python, MATLAB, R, SAS
Proficiency in statistics such as distributions, predictive modelling, data validation, statistical testing, regression

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience and you’ll be situated in the vibrant city of Dundee with some of the most picturesque locations in Scotland on your doorstep.
