  4. Engine Programmer, Programmer

A Birmingham based Games studio are currently looking for a talented Engine Developer to help build a new game engine from scratch!

Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.

This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the code development and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. This would suit a programmer who has a vast interest in low-level aspects such as engine, graphics and rendering development, who also enjoys working in a flat structure.

In return the studio can offer a competitive salary, flexitime hours, a generous holiday allowance, daily fresh food and drink in a fully stocked kitchen, extra annual leave for your Birthday and Summer and Christmas closures and annual games event attendance. Also, the chance to work with games industry veterans who have a great track record of delivering high profile successful projects.

This role is remote working initially with a view to work onsite when it’s safe to do so or can be 100% remote if needed (you must be UK based already for the 100% remote working option).

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in the games industry
  • Strong C++ experience
  • Released titles on either PC or Console platforms
  • Experience working with game engines
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a studio who are working on several new titles, which you will have a hand in from start to finish. To apply please send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
