  • Location: Brighton
  • Salary/rate: £30,000 - £40,000
  • Date posted: 07/08/18
  • Job reference: 6688
  • Permanent

Are you a talented Environment Artist who is adaptable and open to different art styles? Do you want to work in a close, talented and genuinely supportive studio?

We're partnered with a well established Indie studio in Brighton who, due to on-boarding new projects, are looking for a versatile 3D, Environment Artist to join them on a permanent basis.

The team are ideally looking for someone with a portfolio more weighted towards environments, but who can also be involved with asset creation and 2d work. The art team is fairly small, so you can expect to be working on different elements of the project. They're looking for someone to work on finishing a current, announced project, and then begin work on an unannounced IP. No two days will be the same.

They use the Unity engine and 3DS Max as well as things like substance designer, zBrush and 3D coat, the enjoy really well placed offices, with modern equipment and staff benefits like a sun trap balcony, TV and video games room/library, bespoke work station fitted to your body type and office wide pilates lessons  - all free of charge. This studio is also anti-crunch. That isn't a headline, its a genuine belief that crunch is damaging. Hours are 9-5 with an hour for lunch.

To be considered for this role, we'd like to see:

  • A varied and up to date portfolio which you know contains your best work
  • That you have worked on 2-3 shipped titles in past
  • In depth knowledge of the above mentioned tools: Unity, zBrush, 3DS Max
  • A communicative and collaborative nature
  • Someone who loves games, of all types, shapes and sizes

I truly like this client, and I couldnt reccomend them enough. If you are in the market for a new art role, or want to explore a studio which puts you first then don't hesitate to apply now or contact Alan Dixon on 01925 839737 or
