We are working exclusively with a Manchester based experience company who are looking for a technically strong Environment Artist with Unity world building expertise.

You will be creating authentic, fascinating environments that captivate audiences worldwide through magical experiences.

The team you will be joining is small but hearty! They are innovative and passionate in all they do and intent on creating beautiful stories through stunning visuals.

In a nutshell, you will be a confident environment artist with about two plus years industry experience and have a very strong portfolio demonstrating photo realistic, atmospheric environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • World-building/level design in Unity with consideration of narrative and visual storytelling
  • Collaborate on planning and initial block out to final polish and optimization
  • 2+ years production art experience in the gaming industry
  • Translate concept and reference artwork into 3D assets as required, setting a high-quality bar
  • Prototype new techniques and processes
  • Create high and low-poly models and accompanying texture sets
  • High-level world-building expertise in Unity World-building experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Maya or Max
  • Good level of skill in Substance painter and/or Photoshop
  • A great eye for form, scale and detail Natural flair for composition and lighting

Desirable skills:

  • Traditional art skills (drawing, painting, sculpting, photography)
  • Understanding of narrative world-building
  • Skill in a digital sculpting package eg. Z-Brush World Machine/or equivalent experience
  • Concept skills - Ability to visualize, concept and design
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design, Art or other relevant training
  • Keen interest in immersive technology
