A fantastic opportunity for a Game / Creative Director to join a rapidly growing, financially stable and superbly managed studio in vibrant Liverpool who have created an envious portfolio of titles across many different genres.
We are seeking an experienced Game Director to take on the role of creative leader on a new and incredibly exciting project, an openworld action RPG. It’s a chance to get in at the early stages of a game, and be the key person on a massive, globally recognised franchise. As the Game Director, you will be involved in all creative areas of the game, responsible for setting, communicating, and delivering all aspects of the game’s quality. Of great importance is that you are an exceptional communicator with a passion for nurturing and developing a positive, quality focussed team culture.

Responsibilities:
Guiding the project from initial concept through to publication
Setting the creative direction for the game
Creating or overseeing all design work
Develop excellent relationships with Publishers and External partners
Work with production team on all resourcing and task allocations to ensure the project will progress towards quality goals
Identifying shortfalls in skills and assisting with the recruitment process
Working with Dev Managers to ensure a realistic project scope
Being the person who unites the team, charts the course, and guides everybody to the target
Mentoring junior members of the design team
Reporting the game’s quality progress to the team, studio management, and externals
Represent the game and studio at public events, creating positive community engagement
Skills:

Exceptional game design skills
Proactive and entrepreneurial
Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
Must be able to work well under pressure
Experience requirements:
Have shipped at least 2 games in a similar role
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
Experience developing action games preferred
Excellent knowledge of industry standard packages (MS Office, Hansoft/Jira, Perforce etc)
Working knowledge of Agile development
