Are you a talented Game Designer? Are you able to bring vague paper concepts to life? Do you want to work in a new start up focusing on VR games based around fitness?
We're partnered with an exciting VR based start up which focuses on developing Virtual Reality fitness classes and games, they are in the unique position of not only having early seed funding, but are already bringing revenue from their first title which has had over 20,000 purchases on Oculus and Steam platforms. The team are now looking to grow, and are looking to the video games industry for the right talent. Their current team is currently working remotely, however they also have a work space with 3-4 staff working from London. Their new hires will all be based from London. This company is offering a rare chance to become an early employee at a crucial stage of their growth - as such, you can expect to be rewarded with equity and a real steer over how this company operates and develops their titles. Now is a great time to join.
This is a Game Design role, so you will focus on developing new rhythm based fitness games and challenges, these will probably be subscription based, much like a real gym. However the founders have solid visions of the games being good games within themselves, engaging the players first, because they are good games. They are yet to fully nail down how the games will be monetised, and they have no limit to the type of title; its a great place to exercise your creative muscle - pun intended!
To be considered we'd like to see:
- Recent position in design on a shipped title
- Previous experience working on VR titles or similar would be interesting
- Open minded designers who are able to think outside of typical game design
- Ability to bring vague concepts to prototypes
- Someone driven
The role is based in London, they will offer strong competitive salaries and equity; as the company grows you can also expect access to the usual benefits such as pension, holidays etc.
This is a great role - I'd really encourage you to apply, otherwise, get in touch with me on: alan.dixon@amiqus.com or 01925 839737
