- Gameplay Programmer, Programmer, UI Programmer
A Liverpool based Games studio are currently looking for a Gameplay Programmer to work on a range of new titles on Console and PC platforms.
The Studio Founders are renowned in the Industry for creating fun, easy to play / hard to master console classics. The studio is now working on a range of IP’s in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the industry.
You will be working hand in hand with the Director of Technology, coding gameplay elements for their new up-and-coming game which is currently in development. The role is suited to a developer who seeks autonomy as the project is in full production. You will be expected to handle a wide range of requirements of the game from UI to character related gameplay elements (such as animation). This role is perfect for someone who is really passionate about the low-level systems or ‘ground rules’ that govern a particular game world or a range of mechanics.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Gameplay Programming in addition to exceptional math’s skills. If it relates to gameplay, interaction, player feedback or progression, then you will either have ownership of, or be contributing to these areas across multiple titles for the organisation. You will have the opportunity to engrave your name on a range of exciting projects.
This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the code development and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. This would suit a generalist programmer who enjoys working in a flat structure, where they can get involved with different disciplines of programming and assist with rapid prototyping.
This role is remote working initially with a view to work on site when it’s safe to do so or can be 100% remote if needed (you must be UK based for 100% remote working, due to studio meetings).
Requirements
- At least 1 years’ experience as a Programmer
- Released titles on either PC, Console or Mobile platforms
- Experience with multiple disciplines of programming such as Gameplay, UI, Tools etc
- Passionate about games development
- C++ experience
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a studio who are working on amazing games, which have a great reputation in the games community and have been bought/downloaded and played by audiences in the high millions. To apply please send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
