Gameplay Programmer
An exciting opportunity to work with one of Europe’s top MMORPG development studios. This is a growing team with a real family feel who are now looking to further expand their skills in regards to Gameplay programming. It is an exciting opportunity for a talented C++ coder to join and be a part of a team across multiple PC / Console / Mobile projects.
As Gameplay Programmer you will:
- Develop game features: designing, testing and implementing new experiences our players will love
- Contribute well-structured code that meets game design and technical requirements
- Maintain and debug existing game features
- Maintain technical documentation
- Optimise code and data for memory usage and performance
- Help to identify and solve development obstacles or risks
- Have a collaborative mindset as you deliver game features with your fellow teammates
- Ensure a timely delivery of practical solutions in areas of development such as: game logic, AI, UI, and more
You have:
- A passion for games
- Experience and a genuine interest for programming in C/C++
- Good sense of empathy for our players
- Ability to familiarise yourself with a large existing codebase
- Ability to prototype gameplay ideas rapidly
- Effective communication and knowledge sharing with your teammates
- Excellent initiative and problem solving skills, with the ability to take direction
- Ability to give and receive feedback within the team
- Knowledge of common development tools such as Visual Studio and Perforce
