We have partnered with an exciting games studio based in the South West, who require an experienced Gameplay Programmer. The studio have produced a range of games which have consistently been downloaded in the high millions and won several high profile international awards in the process.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Studio Head and Technical Director in defining the gameplay systems of the title, such as player progression, UI, interaction, inventory management, bug fixing and player movement/controls. This role would suit a good generalist who likes to get involved with multiple areas and is a strong believer of creating fluid gameplay.
The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on multiple projects, overseeing features from concept to completion. The ideal candidate’s profile will consist of completed projects on PC/Console platforms.
The studio are based in a beautiful location by the sea, with affordable rent prices and a busy nightlife with top of the range restaurants. This role is open to candidates who are looking for remote opportunities or are open to relocation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience in the games industry
- Excellent C++ Programming skills
- Shipped at least 1 title on PC and/or Console
- Experience with Unreal Engine would be a bonus
