  4. Graphics Programmer, Programmer

A North West based AAA Console Studio are looking for an experienced Graphics Programmer to work on a range of new projects across current gen platforms.

Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Studio Head and Technical Director in defining the graphics processes of the current and future titles, such as performance/memory issues, improving core tech/tools and implementing new graphics/lighting solutions. You will get the chance to completely own the graphics side of the development and serve as an expert on topics such as optimisation and hardware capabilities.

The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on multiple projects, overseeing features from concept to completion in a small, condensed, flat working structure. The ideal candidate’s profile will consist of completed projects on PC/Console platforms.

The studio can offer a decent package which includes bonuses, share incentive plans, flexitime, a generous pension + holiday allowance and learning + development plans.

This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely) or remote initially with a view to work onsite when restrictions ease, with some split weeks of inhouse/remote if you prefer (you must be UK based already for the 100% remote working option).

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the games industry
  • Excellent C++ Programming skills
  • Shipped at least 1 title on PC and/or Console platforms
  • Experience with Graphics API’s and modern Rendering Techniques
  • Experience with Unreal Engine would be a bonus
