Amiqus have partnered with a small creative game development studio, based in the heart of Guildford.  They are an extremely talented, friendly and flexible team, who are now in search of an experienced Graphics Programmer to join them, working on their innovative new game.


ABOUT YOU: 

As their Graphics Programmer, you will drive and implement technical-creative-touches on every facet of the game. You will shape a performance optimised and visually striking world.    
 

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills 
  • Knowledge and understanding of graphics and rendering on PC and console 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of computer science  
  • Strong mathematical skills  
  • Ability to create complex graphics and rendering solutions as required 
  • Ability to manage your own time and work proactively 
  • Able to adapt to new technologies and technical challenges
  • If you also have a passion for performance, then that would be a bonus.  

 
EXPERIENCE: 
 

  • Experience of full game cycle development in a similar role 
  • Experience of analysing games and adding graphical and performance value 
  • Experience of writing shaders in Unity and performance debugging tools 
  • Experience with recent PC and console development 
  • We see this as a senior level role.   


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work with our designers and artists to identify graphical requirements 
  • Work closely with our VFX artist to implement the visual language of the game 
  • Define and implement any necessary tools required to implement the graphics  
  • Work with the designers, artist and animators to improve performance 
  • Define and implement any necessary tools required to improve performance  
  • Create, maintain and review workflows, tools and pipelines, leading by example  
  • Maintain consistency of graphics and performance throughout the entire game 
  • Analyse, troubleshoot and solve graphics and performance related technical challenges
