HEAD OF EXTERNAL PRODUCTION
The future success of nDreams won’t just come from their own internally developed releases, but also from their fast-growing Third-Party Publishing division and the games they create with external development teams.
The Head of External Production is a key hire for the business. Collaborating closely with the VP of Publishing and VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing the VR game development teams they work with and helping ensure they release their games to the highest possible quality and success.
key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the production of externally developed titles for nDreams’ Third Party Publishing division, ensuring they not only meet schedule and budget requirements but also the commercial and qualitative standards too.
- Alongside the VP of Publishing and VP of Business Development, help identify external VR development teams and games that have potential.
- Lead the due diligence process on any identified teams/games taken into the green light process.
- Manage day-to-day communication between nDreams and the external development teams on all matters regarding schedule, tracking/reporting, QA, localisation, and submission; ensuring products stay on track and making recommendations accordingly.
- Agree and set project KPIs and ensure the external development team has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the delivery of project KPIs.
- Pro-actively seek resolutions to all arising risks and conflicts to keep the product schedule intact and viable – communicating these resolutions to all relevant stakeholders within appropriate timescales for ratification.
- Responsible for regular weekly reporting and ad-hoc communication between the external development team and internal nDreams stakeholders.
WHO Are We Looking For?
- A well-seasoned Producer who has shipped multiple titles, ideally on multiple platforms at a Senior level.
- You will be an excellent communicator and you’ll be equally comfortable presenting at Team, or Boardroom level.
- Someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in – initially there are no direct reports into the Head of External Production role, though this is expected as the Third Party Publishing division grows.
- Experience of VR development will be an advantage.
- Experience of game engines such as UE and Unity will be an advantage.
