We're partnered exclusively with a Video Games developer based in London, in Shoreditch, specifically. They're a growing business and want to hire a HR Manager to ensure the success of the studio and well-being of the team. As a Games developer they have a really diverse team of creative and technical people who are passionate about creating the best experiences for their players; the management team want to preserve this amazing culture as the studio grows.

This role would see you working directly with the Studio Head, working together on long term strategies around diversity, retention, culture, succession planning and growth. The role is stand alone, although you would have a direct report, you'd be the core of this companies HR function. It's a superb chance to put your own mark on this department as it grows. We think someone from a Games background, or at least someone who has worked with creatives or in a technical environment would be good for this - but we're happy to be proven wrong.

To be considered, we'd love to see:

  • Strong HR background, ideally CIPD qualified and with a continual work history HR positions
  • You've worked not only on 'operational' HR such as Employee Relations/Rewards etc, but also long term strategic plans
  • A 'people first' HR manager who enjoys preserving and developing the best part of an environment and culture
  • An interest or awareness of video games would be a huge advantage
  • Collaborative communication skills
  • London based, or able to relocate easily to London

This role is quite unique, we rarely get HR manager roles in Games, so it's a good opportunity. You'll be working in a stable, successful and well respected developer in the heart of London's tech quarter. You can enjoy a flexible working environment, healthy salary and strong benefits package.
