Interested in being a key member of one of the UK’s largest and most respected AAA Games Developers. This is a company with a real track record in the industry who has consistently been at the forefront of games within the UK. They are now looking to grow their already formidable team and are in a position to hire an Experienced JIRA Administrator.

 

This is an opportunity for an experienced Jira/Confluence Administrator to work across all the companies game development studios based in the England, South East near London. The successful candidate will be providing both administration and plug-in support to enable the game teams to optimise their use of these products.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

In the role of Jira administrator, you will perform both the short- and long-term support and development of our Jira and Confluence instances. You will be working with our IT and development teams to coordinate the server, administration and development activities to provide a reliable, state-of-the-art Jira and Confluence environment that is customised to the studio’s requirements.

 

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

 

Essential:

  • Experience in JIRA/Confluence set-up and administration
  • Experience in managing and collaborating on upgrades and plugin analysis and installation; ensuring instances are healthy and functional
  • Experience setting up of Jira projects for multi-discipline teams - customise workflows, permissions, screens and issues types specific to team requirements
  • Define, manage and communicate best practices, so we have consistent templates and approaches across the studio
  • Review and recommend plug-ins that provide enhanced functionality and reporting
  • Very strong organisational skills; driven and self-motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Jira Cloud and Jira Data Centre implementations
  • Experience working with large, multi-project environments

     

    Desirable:

     

  • Ability to write customised plug-ins and interfaces between Jira and Confluence. Training can be provided
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Jira REST & Java APIs
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of MS Excel
