A Dundee based Games studio are currently looking for a Junior Graphics Programmer to help work on a range of new titles and further help with the studios growth.

The studio are currently small but growing, and have instilled a family feel to their culture and are looking for this Programmer to help guide them towards completion of present and future games. 

This role would suit a developer who is a self-starter, a good problem solver and is looking for a role that focuses purely on Graphics Programming. You’ll be getting involved with striking the balance of helping systems run faster while making their graphics more realistic, keeping in mind hardware restrictions. You will be an integral part of the team working in the Graphics department and being heavily involved in an exciting new game on multiple platforms. 

The studio are based in the heart of Dundee, which is famously known for its affordable cost of living, also a great location for bars, coffee shops and restaurants. The studio offer a great work life balance, health and dental care and discounts at local shops as part of their package.

Requirements 

  • 1st Class honours or a 2.1 in Computer Science or Games Programming related degree 
  • A strong interest in Graphics Programming 
  • Experience with C++
  • Knowledge of Unity 3D
  • An interest or experience in writing Shaders in HLSL
  • A portfolio or Github with some code examples would be a bonus
