We have partnered with an exciting games studio based in Scotland, who require a Lead Artist to extend and build on their award-winning franchise. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have come from AAA backgrounds and have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.
The studio is now moving into new territory in the form of a new IP and require this Lead Artist to help input the strategic creativity on this new project.
Your role will be to work with the existing art team to nurture and develop current and new talent. The team are open to someone who wants to focus purely on being a Manager or someone who still enjoys modelling and texturing assets to go into the games, the most important thing is the persons ability to lead and motivate a team.
This Lead Artist will work very closely with the Co-Founders of the studio and manage a small team of Artists. You will be self-organised and be able to juggle managing a small team, while assisting with the grading of work
This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your Art in an open-plan environment, where ideas are commonly contributed, and everyone has an input on the project.
This role is fully remote working; however, you must be based in the UK already.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience as an Artist in the games industry
- Experience as a Senior or Lead Artist
- Good knowledge of Blender and 3Ds Max (preferred, but Maya users are welcome to apply!)
- Published titles on Console or PC Platforms
- Experience with Unreal would be a bonus
- A bonus if you have a portfolio demonstrating your experience, ideally environments or hard surface modelling
