Amiqus have partnered with a AAA console studio based in Singapore, who are currently looking to bolster their ranks and require a Lead Artist to help work on their new console title and manage a small team of multi-disciplined Artists.
The Studio were formed by a range of key figures in the games industry, and over the years have built an experienced English speaking International Team.
The studio have released some of the biggest games on console and PC platforms and have worked with some of the biggest studios in world on a range of projects. This role will focus on you working on an existing FPS franchise, which has earned high praise and acclaim.
As the Lead Artist you will work closely with the Art Director in defining the direction and art strategies to the title. You will get involved with managing and mentoring the team, ensuring the quality bar stays consistent throughout the title. You will work with Environment, Character, UI, VFX and Concept Artists, so coming from a generalist background would be a bonus!
You will also be responsible for the guidance of this team, from mentoring, appraisals and reviews to even getting involved with the recruitment process and if you prefer to still be a ‘hands on’ artist, there will be an opportunity for this too.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ Art experience in video games
- Shipped console titles as a Lead Artist
- Experience with Maya or 3DS Max
- Strong skills with Photoshop
- A bonus if you’ve got experience with Unreal 4 and Substance Painter
- Experience with open world games would be desirable!
