A South East based Games studio are currently looking for a Lead Console Programmer to work on a range of new titles on Console and PC platforms.
The studio is renowned in the Console/PC industry for creating fun, easy to play / hard to master games, with their debut title topping charts with rave reviews from players and critics alike.
They are looking for this individual to have high energy and passion for video games and constantly come up with new and innovative ideas to keep their player base engaged. Your core function will be to implement features to go into the game such as easy to use mechanics and slick gameplay, while mentoring/managing a small team with a 60% (hands-on) 40% (managerial) split.
This position can offer this developer a chance to own quite a large area of the project and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team and in a fast-paced environment. This would suit a Lead Programmer who enjoys a flat structure, where they can get involved with different disciplines of programming on the creative and technical side and assist with rapid prototyping in the process.

This role is remote working initially with a view to work on site when it’s safe to do so or can be 100% remote if that suits your preference, although you must be UK based for the 100% remote working option.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in the games industry
- Released at least 1 project on PC, Console, Mobile or VR platforms
- Experience with multiple disciplines of programming such as Gameplay, UI, Tools etc
- Good C++ skills
- Good working knowledge of C# and Unity 3D would be a bonus
