Amiqus have a Lead Programmer position, with a studio of talented developers – are you a Senior or Lead Coder that relishes the challenge in building great gameplay?
Working on a significant IP, the upcoming title is a sequel to an already established Sci Fi title. The project is currently NDA but with a strong premise in looter-shooter concepts, so think Borderlands or Destiny.
The opportunity is to lead a mid-size team of Programmers as they utilize Unreal Engine 4 to create amazing moments in video game history.
Responsibilities
• Guide and manage development of systems project wide, including in gameplay code, engine code, online systems, and external tools.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure cross discipline communication and work occurs smoothly.
• Advise on feasibility, implementation strategy, and scheduling of features for project planning, as well as providing broad estimates for such features.
• Mentor and guide other coders on the team.
• Implementation of software in C++ and other languages.
• Continually expand knowledge of new game technologies and systems.
• Review and advise on technical processes across departments.
• Work on a cross-platform codebase that includes the major consoles.
• Perform engine upgrades to support new features and platforms, while maintaining compatibility with custom engine changes, game features, and assets.
Essential Experience
• Shipped at least one UE4 based game.
• Minimum 3 years experience working with Unreal Engine.
• A passion for making and playing games with an eye for detail and feel for good gameplay.
