Can you lead and manage an MMO Server team? Will you work closely with the studio CTO, and be their go to person for all things 'server'? Can you design architecture and implement server side logic?

We're working with one of Irelands biggest and fastest growing mobile games studios. They were established by a number of games veterans, and have grown their studio to around 50 people, and have secure in excess of €20m of investment. They've released one title, and have another in development; both of which are MMO's. Currently their server and back-end offering is fine, but they know with the growth of their games they need someone to develop their tech and make it much more scalable and robust.

This is where you could come in! We're looking for essentially a tech director level individual who can run, grow and develop the server team. This role will see you work directly with the CTO to implement and develop the server technology.

To be considered for the role, we'd need to see:

  • Strong Python experience, you will have used this in a games server environment
  • That you've held similar roles, development servers and back-end development for other games studios
  • An inquisitive and problem solving mind-set. A natural engineer
  • Broad knowledge of different architectures and how they fit specific goals
  • In depth knowledge of Linux
  • Passionate about games

This is a senior and high profile role for this studio. This is a great step towards Tech directorship, or CTO type position. You will be challenged and tested, but the rewards are there for the right individual.

The studio not only offers a friendly and collaborative place to work, but also boasts modern and cutting edge equipment, relaxing break-out areas and flexible working environment. The salary for this role is up to 6 figures for the right individual. They will also fully facilitate your and your partner/families/pets relocation to Ireland.
