Amiqus have partnered with a AAA console studio based in Singapore, who are currently looking to bolster their ranks and require a Lead Technical Artist to help work on their new console title and mentor a small team of Technical Artists.
The Studio were formed by a range of key figures in the games industry, and over the years have built an experienced English speaking International Team.
The studio has released some of the biggest games on console and PC platforms and have worked with some of the biggest studios in the world on a range of projects. This role will focus on you working on an existing console franchise, which has earned high praise and acclaim.
As the Lead Technical Artist, you will work closely with the Art Director in defining the vision to the title. The ideal candidate will have a 50/50 split with code and art skills and help with pipeline issues and generate tools that will help streamline processes. This role can also offer the pathway to lead a team full time, while also getting involved with the recruitment drive for the studio.
In addition to an amazing project, the studio can also help candidates with relocation assistance, which includes help with accommodation, covered relocation expenses, visa assistance and help with International children’s schools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in the games industry as a Technical Artist
- Past experience of working on engines like CryEngine and Unreal (preferred but others welcome)
- Experience using Python, Mel, Maya (preferred)
- An interest in Houdini
- A bonus if you have any experience of the following of rigging, VFX, Physics Simulation, Lighting, creating Shaders, Content Optimization, writing Modelling and Animation tools
