- Lead Artist, UI Artist
Amiqus have partnered with an exciting AAA games development studio based in Guildford, who are looking to hire a talented Lead UI Artist to join their growing team.
The studio has released some of the highest grossing games in the PC and Console market and are looking for someone to help push the quality bar and own the UI Art for their new title currently in development.
Your first mission will be to design and create UI assets that the player will interact with, such as the graphical front-end, menus, icons and buttons. You will also be tasked with designing the user experience (UX) to each feature in the game and will work very closely with the Art Director on this. You will be up to date with present console/PC trends and enjoy playing and making games. The ideal candidate will understand the console market and have good knowledge of what works and what doesn’t.
This role can offer this Lead UI Artist a chance to own quite a large area of the project and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team, where they can get involved with the concept phases and really make a difference on the final output. The ideal candidate will enjoy challenging themselves, enjoy prototyping a range of designs and managing a collaborative Art Team.
This role is remote working initially with a view to work on site in Guildford when restrictions ease.
Requirements
- Strong experience in the games industry as a UI Artist/Designer
- Past mentoring/Lead experience
- Released at least 2 console titles
- A great knowledge of games and an excellent understanding of what makes them work
- Experience with Photoshop + Illustrator
- A portfolio demonstrating your artwork
- Unreal engine experience would be a bonus
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with a studio, who are growing rapidly and can offer good career development and a brilliant benefits package, which includes a generous holiday allowance, pension, flexible working hours, gym/store discounts, relocation assistance (if needed) and Christmas closures.
