This vacancy has now expired.

We have partnered with an exciting games developer who are expanding their development team and require a talented Lead Programmer to help create new features on current and new titles in the pipeline.

The studio are better known for releasing fun, creative educational games and are already making strides with UK and US based Schools, by vastly improving the quality of results with their amazing interactive experiences.

As the Lead Programmer you’ll be involved with the overall gameplay experience, such as developing easy to use mechanics for games and contributing to the multiplayer open-world that they’re building. You’ll lead a small team of developers while contributing to the existing codebase, which includes mentoring and leading by example.

This is an exciting time to join the studio as you’ll be sharing your own Unity engine expertise with the team and evolving their knowledge as well as your own. There will be a chance to get involved with the design of new games and an opportunity to drive the overall quality. This role would suit a generalist Programmer who likes to work in a smaller studio, where they can get involved with everything from concept to completion.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years’ experience in the games industry
  • Worked on at least 1 Console, Mobile or PC title from start to finish
  • Strong experience with Unity 3D
  • Past lead or mentoring experience
  • Interest in creating educational games
In addition to a great work/life balance the team are based in a convenient city centre location and can offer benefits like flexi-time, share options and pension. If you are interested in this role then send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
