Level Designer

  • Location: London (Remote)
  • Salary/rate: £35,000 -£45,000
  • Date posted: 25/09/20
  • Job reference: 7899
  • Permanent

We're partnered with a creative and well respected developer based in London, this team is well known for their off-beat and comedic games across PC and Console platforms. They're a talented bunch who love making games, their culture is really inclusive and fairly flat in terms of Hierarchy. They are just about to launch, to much anticipation, a sequel to one of their 'clumsy' simulator games. The first one was much lauded and an incredible success, and all indicators point to the sequel being an even bigger success. It is this game they are hiring for, they need a talented and imaginative Level Designer to join them in making new challenges. exciting mechanics and features for this game. Given the off-beat nature of the game, you'd have huge creative scope to really let your imagination run wild.

To be considered for the role, we'd love to see:

  • Recent experience within Level Design on PC or Console titles
  • A passion for more funny/wacky type games rather than core/violent titles
  • You take inspiration from all sorts of games
  • Huge passion for design
  • Collaborative and inclusive communication style
  • You can work independently and can concept original ideas

This is a brilliant role for someone looking to step beyond the confines of a traditional game design brief, someone who enjoys the absurd and has a huge imagination. The studio is based in London, though the studio is now offering all roles as being remote only as well. You will need to be within 2 hours of the UK timezone for this to work.

Salary is £35,000-£45,000 plus a healthy benefits package and flexible working environment.
