This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the UK’s most successful games studios. Amiqus have partnered exclusively with a AAA developer, based in the midlands, to help them with their search for a Principle Audio Programmer to join their expanding team. 

Reporting directly to the Technical Director you will be responsible for defining best practice for the audio programming team.  

This studio define their genre and are looking to continue on this upward trajectory after several recently successful titles. As the Principle Audio Programmer here you will lead by example, occasionally mentoring and guiding the team below you to ensure technical excellence. You’ll work closely with designers and programmers to implement in-game sounds with a focus on hyper-realistic audio. You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in games on some of the most well received IPs with metacritic scores in the high-80s. 

We’re looking for real audio wizards, someone with an ability to take a genre and quickly understand how to align you code with the audio design to create real player immersion. Your background will ideally from AAA games but if you’ve worked on high profile TV/Film projects then we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements:
Demonstrable AAA games audio programming experience
Excellent C++ knowledge
Platform specific audio APIs (PS4, Xbox One, PC etc)
Wwise, ideally with customised plug-ins
Granular Synthesis
Digital Signal Processing
Previous leadership experience is highly desirable
