Maze Theory is pushing the boundaries of interactive and immersive character-based story telling within VR. We are looking for a Producer to work in our studio across various immersive VR projects. We are an equal opportunity employer. This is a full-time permanent position. You will work alongside the rest of the team and key stakeholders, on a daily basis.
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in production with complex teams structures in either games or other media
- Understanding of best practice development through all phases of production
- Understanding of different methods to test game performance, quality and stability
- Ability to articulate technical information, so non-technical people can consume it
- Collaborative leadership style, you like to empower and grow teams and you care about keeping people motivated, happy and healthy.
- Ability to manage your own time and work proactively, as well as manage the time of others
- Willingness to learn and grow as a producer
- Passion for storytelling or narrative games
- Exceptional eye for detail, whilst understanding the bigger picture
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of game, or other media development
- Experience of leading through collaboration and stakeholder buy in
- Experience with the development and implementation of production pipelines, and appropriate levels project management for each stage of development
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the programmers, designers, artists, and stakeholders to deliver new cutting-edge immersive VR storytelling experiences
- Own the delivery of the set goals and develop plans to deliver the relevant and applicable features, which fulfils the studios creative vision of immersive VR storytelling experiences
- Collaborate with Leads to ensure sufficient planning surrounds technical staff, solutions, resources, costs and scheduling to support a given experiences vision
- Managing and supporting in house development teams, coordinating external development support teams (insource/outsource)
- Clearly document production roadmaps, backlogs, risks, milestones and other planning artefacts to deliver our project needs on time and to budget. Ensure tƒhat this documentation is publicised, visible and self-explanatory to the team and stakeholders, in particular Studio Leadership
- Help ensure platform compliance and identify platform specific features, raising the potential of new features for consideration by design
- Determine and take on relevant and appropriate production tasks where necessary to facilitate the development of a given game and to provide leadership by example
- Maintain a positive and productive relationship with all project contributors. This means working to build honest and respectful relationships, providing meaningful feedback on performance whilst ensuring development priorities are understood.
- Briefing studio leadership on product progress and performance against schedule/scope & budget
- Acting as the key point of contact between the game team and studio leadership and/or external partners
