An exciting opportunity to work with a successful Global Video Games Publisher based in the heart of Europe, Germany. The company is a privately owned, global, independent developer, marketer and publisher of interactive entertainment software with close to 100 employees worldwide, operating from multiple offices across Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.  


They enjoy very strong global digital distribution and a constant supply of high quality game franchises through their own development teams as well as the work they do with multiple leading independent developers. 

To complete the team of directors, they are looking for a PRODUCT DIRECTOR, primarily working in the headquarters based in Germany. The Product Director shall be responsible for all internal and external development studios, game producing and QA teams and bring an entrepreneurial spirit to the role. This position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Your role and responsibilities:
Planning and coordination of internal and external game development
Leading and directing of Producing, Support and QA-teams
Prioritization of development tasks
Optimization of development departments to the “value for money” principles
Reduction of feature creeps within production/development
Regular team performance reviews 
Transfer of knowledge and resources between internal (and external) studios 
High quality product development within time and budget (bonus component) 
Re-design of the development processes (milestones, QA, localization, etc.)
Sourcing and technical due diligence of new projects, studios, IPs
Primary technical contact for 1st Parties, Middle- and Hardware providers
Early reconnaissance of development needs and solution proposals
Adopt, implement and spiritualize the company philosophy

Your skills and experience: 
Proven experience (>5 years) in an executive game development role 
Professional negotiation skills and entrepreneurial spirit 
Multitasking and management of several projects simultaneously
Client-oriented work style (internal and external stakeholders)  
Excellent written and verbal communication in English (and German if possible)
Exceptional interpersonal skills and energetic, team-player
Comprehensive software and tool knowledge expected
