Amiqus have partnered with a global video games publisher for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam. The company specialises in publishing Japanese video games and also has a rapidly growing portfolio of indie games from cult-classics to rising best-sellers. 

We are currently looking for a Product Manager for the Asia division to join the team from their Letchworth location, working alongside the companies Bristol team, remotely. 

The purpose of role is to support the Brand Manager in giving products the best possible chance of success by: 

  • Overseeing the development and delivery of marketing strategy on individual games. 
  • Liaising with the Operations and Production team to ensure the timely release of product. 
  • Managing budgets on individual titles. 
  • Planning timings and placement of advertising activity. 
  • Developing relationships with key media to deliver advertising campaigns. 
  • Developing relationships with key clients – from developers to distribution partners. • Overseeing all marketing creative - from design, to video direction. 
  • Overseeing the design and manufacture of merchandise. 
  • Presenting product to key retail accounts, consumers, press and sales teams. 
  • Communicating marketing update and activity to the clients, group and sales teams. 
  • Reporting on current campaigns and optimising them for the best possible delivery. 
  • Social media co-ordination with the Community Manager to develop your products’ awareness and general category strategy. 
  • PR co-ordination, including working with influencers and writing press releases to support the PR Manager. 
  • Work with the Brand Manager for Asia to improve product visibility and brand consistency. 
  • Event management and on-site presence at events both domestic and international.

There are a number of skills that are essential for this role, such as:

  • At least two years’ experience in either an in-house or agency marketing position. 
  • Huge passion for, and knowledge of, video games and gaming culture. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs, and Photoshop. 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to track several projects over many months. 
  • The confidence to present professionally to external partners – from sales and retail to consumers and media.

It's a bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of the Japanese/Asian/anime gaming scene would be highly beneficial, as wellas language skills. 
  • Interest in visual novels, fighting games, JRPGs, anime-style games is paramount to enjoying this role. 
  • Experience in running events and expos. 
  • An understanding of Graphic Design and the ability to effectively brief and communicate accordingly. 
  • Integrity, trustworthiness, flexibility and adaptability 
  • A proactive, get stuck-in approach
  • Well-organised and presentable
