This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a new London based Tech AR/VR start up who are focussed on building applications and AR for the visually impaired.

Reporting to the head of production you will act as the second in command as a senior production Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering their socially empowering game project(s).

You will be part of an ambitious team working closely with game designers, artists and programmers both internally and externally.

This client has just kicked off a new game project and we are seeking someone who can jump straight in and get them organised!

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development

• Responsible for the delivery of all game project(s), both internally and externally, to the quality, time and cost standards set by the Production and Creative Directors

• Validate and oversee the delivery of the game project(s) in accordance with the agreed Development Roadmaps and Strategy Plans

• Work to establish and communicate project goals, objectives and milestones

• Resolve time-cost-quality conflicts escalated by the team(s), • Supervise post-mortem execution at the end of each game project(s), and ensure approved issues are turned into action points Project Management

• Define and evangelise production best practise throughout development to improve the team’s track record, reliability and reputation

• Define and enforce production processes for scheduling, budget tracking, managing risks, managing change, dealing with slippage, etc.

• Balance production considerations with quality and creativity in decision-making

• Track and implement project improvement plans to drive team efficiency, anticipate project bottlenecks and drive solutions

• Track overall budget and spending to ensure control of development costs Communication

• Point-of-contact for development and delivery of the game project(s)

• Ensure that all team(s) communications are done in a timely and efficient manner to ensure successful management and delivery of game project(s)

• Maintain effective communication with the team(s), at all levels to ensure the smooth running of the game project(s)

• Publicise the current state of development and progress to maintain transparency

• Ensure brand high-level requirements are understood and communicated throughout the team(s) Team management

• Carry out direct line management responsibilities for the Creative Leads through recruiting, developing, training and appraising

• Responsible for ensuring teams maintain strong morale, focus and efficiency

• Improve team work-life balance and team efficiency

• Coordinate the organisation and scheduling of the team(s) work

• Define and implement team working practices We require

• 5+ years experience of managing game projects, ideally including mobile

• Thorough understanding of game development processes

• Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methodologies

• Excellent person and team management skills

• Extraordinary communication skills with the ability to motivate others and influence them in a diplomatic manner
