QA Lead/IT Technician

This educational studio have managed to really get the balance right between learning and fun. They are going from strength to strength and are now looking to bring QA  in house as well being point on the QA for the games the studio are looking for someone who is also IT savvy, as they will also provide basic technical support. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a high quality internal QA service within the Studio, ensuring that our games are tested to the highest standards.
  • Day to day liaison with any external QA partners as required, including agreeing test plans and test cycles and ensuring compliance with service level agreements 
  • Help evaluate QA partners, including reviewing cost effectiveness and sourcing and evaluating appropriate vendors and service providers. 
  • Own the submission process for all product releases, including iOS, Android and other platforms as appropriate.
  • Monitor live customer issues including customer complaints, and ensure that these are recorded within the bug tracking system as appropriate.
  • Maintain high quality records and reporting at all times, including bug tracking and bug reports to senior management
  • Provide an initial level of IT support to the team for day-to-day issues that may arise
  • Maintain and manage and inventory of all studio hardware and peripherals, particularly with regard to test devices

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years in a QA role 
  • Excellent knowledge of industry best practice in testing methodologies both functional and subjective
  • A creative problem solver with a high degree of technical knowledge of all mobile platforms and associated submission procedures
  • Strong IT skills and general technical knowledge of PC and Mac systems
  • Passionate about games of all genres and platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of appropriate bug-tracking software, such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experienced with localising products and maintaining multiple SKUs
