Amiqus have partnered with industry leading AAA publishers, to help them find an experience Quality Assurance Project Manager, to manage and monitor a portfolio of Games test activities for compliance and functionality. 

Their company has succeeded over the last few years in setting up and developing their business across the EMEA region. They are the market leader in the Japanese animation segment, they successfully develop historical and new franchises and they publish and distribute for major video game companies.

In this role you will ensure a constant follow-up, validate each test phase, and organize the information flows between the involved departments in accordance with company processes, budget and lead-times.

Your principal responsibilities will be as follows:

  • In partnership with the QC Manager, estimate the test leadtimes, constraints and budget for the projects you are responsible for
  • Constant monitoring and update of the schedules and test budgets and share the information with the internal and external parties involved
  • Constant communication and continual follow-up with the test vendors from start to finish on each project
  • Give information and advice to our direct contacts (Producer, Certification Project Manager…), evaluating the relevance and fixing priority of some bugs, in regards to the schedule, title release constraints, product quality and test budget
  • Evaluate and monitor the risks/issues related to submissions of console games and internal approval of PC games and update the relevant parties (Producer, Certification Manager…)
  • Follow-up the bug report database creation, and ensure the quality and accuracy of the information uploaded
  • Manage the manual and packaging checks, following the schedule made by the Printed Material Project Manager (Technical information, game controls and features available, as well as compliance with the Hardware manufacturer templates)
  • Stay in active contact with external vendors, providing them with the elements needed to optimize test accuracy, and follow-up daily technical feedback and associated costs

Candidate profile

Experience, qualification and skills:

  • Degree in Project Management / Games Development 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management within the Video Games Industry
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), a good French level is a plus
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Software
  • The knowledge of project management tools as JIRA or HELIX would be appreciated
  • Strong knowledge of testing vendors’ activities and constraints
  • Strong knowledge of video games production/ development cycles and technologies (Pc and console hardware)

  • Project oriented, capability to handle several projects at the same time
  • Ability to manage process and workflows through multiple internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Rigorous and conscientious
  • Strong team work skills (with both internal and external parties)
  • Good communication and reporting skills, in both written and oral
  • Ability to learn and use new tools (Technological surveillance, hardware manufacturer tools, online tools, new testing methods…)
  • Curious
  • Enthusiastic
