KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Create clear goals for the project team which are both inspiring and measureable and ensure these through to completion. 
Act as lead interface for clients in the execution of contracts.
Provide the judicial balance between the natural competing demands of the creative and production teams, delivering the optimal balance between time, quality and cost 
Direct a team of producers to create and maintain an effective production planning and tracking system to suit any particular project, which is relevant to any particular phase.
Management of the project P&L, to deliver forecast Gross Margin or better.
Management of project change control process – ensuring both requested project changes are tracked from request through to contract price and scope amendment, and recording of delay and disruption on the project, being able to utilize this data to defend any Sumo delays and additional compensation if necessary.
Identify any opportunities to sell additional services into current clients.
Operation of the contract to ensure that commercial position is not compromised, ensuring that all appropriate notices are sent and contract is compiled to or waivers / concessions obtained.

Execution of multiple full-project lifecycles in the games industry
Managed development budgets in excess of £10M concurrently
Delivered at least one game with MC of 75% or greater, in a leadership position.

Leadership
Create and set clear goals for the project leadership team, which are measureable and the tenacity to follow these through to completion.
Maintain a positive outlook in adverse circumstances, keep team motivation high and makes time to explain their own and the company’s decisions.
A natural influencer, has the ability to sell in difficult decisions to team members and clients, with positive outcomes
Can bring team members together and act as arbiter to resolve disputes.
Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills, has the ability to craft a document, spreadsheet or presentation which can be delivered to convey complex proposals, defend a company position or negotiate a positive outcome
Ability to delegate important tasks to provide bandwidth to lead large teams

Production Management
Able to direct a team of producers to create and maintain an effective production planning and tracking system to suit any particular project, which is relevant to any particular phase.
Identification and use of datasets to inform and drive decisions.
Establish a Projects KPI’s / Dashboard and be able to use this to communicate progress both internally and to clients.

Commercial Management


Management of the project P&L, able to set up a P&L and track it’s progress. Ensures financial control of project expenditure, able to determine value from contracts and exhibit good financial judgement.
Operation of project change control process – ensuring both requested project changes are tracked from request through to contract price and scope amendment, and recording of delay and disruption on the project, being able to utilize this data to defend any Sumo delays and additional compensation if necessary.
